Program Updates
Don't get caught stuck on the side of the road. AirCheck can help! Through our replacement and repairs program you can stop being embarrassed by loud, annoying sounds or continual breakdowns. Get a road-worthy car you can trust!
Assistance through this application-based program is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. After enough applications have been received to exhaust the available funds, the replacement portion will be closed, and replacement applications will no longer be accepted until further notice.
Repair a Vehicle
Has your car or truck failed an emission test?
If your vehicle has failed the emissions portion of the inspection within the past 30 days, and it is registered in one of the following counties (Brazoria, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, or Montgomery), you may be eligible for a repair voucher up to $600 toward emissions repair assistance. Replace a Vehicle
Is your car or truck 10 years old or older? Or has it failed an emissions test?
For a limited time, if your vehicle meets certain requirements, you may be eligible for a replacement voucher up to $3,500 toward a qualifying replacement vehicle. Getting A Voucher
How to get started
Applications may be downloaded for repair assistance or replacement assistance in English, Spanish or Vietnamese. The application must be printed, signed, and submitted to our office for verification. Fax or mail your completed application and include proof of income for all adults in household along with the failed Vehicle Inspection Report. Our mailing address and fax number are listed on the application.
Currently, it takes us 5 to 7 business days to process an application once we receive it.
If you are eligible, we’ll send your voucher to your mailing address with instructions on how to use it along with a list of participating repair facilities or participating automobile dealers. If you are not eligible, we’ll send you a letter describing why you are unable to receive a voucher.
